Mi 8 Explorer Edition and Mi 9 Lite gain MIUI 12 update as Xiaomi expands upgrade eligibility for the Mi 9 SE
The Mi 8 Explorer Edition and Mi 9 Lite have started receiving MIUI 12. The arrival of the updates takes Xiaomi well over the 50 mark for the volume of devices that it has upgraded to MIUI 12. The OS upgrade has been pushed to the Chinese edition of the Mi 8 Explorer Edition, which is the only region in which Xiaomi released the device.
By contrast, MIUI 12 has been issued to the European, Global and Russian versions of the Mi 9 Lite. All builds can be downloaded via the links below. Please note that Xiaomi is issuing these updates as over-the-air (OTA) upgrades, which will be significantly smaller downloads than the recovery files contained below.
Similarly, the Mi 9 SE has received MIUI 12 in the same regions. Again, you can download the update for your device from the links below. Xiaomi has commenced the MIUI 12 upgrade for all versions of the Mi 9 Lite and Mi 9 SE.
