The Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite has received a new update. The update brings the August security patch to the device and is arriving as an OTA. Xiaomi is rolling out the update to global handsets, albeit on a partial release for the time being.

The Mi A2 Lite has received a new update, bringing it onto the August set of Android security patches. The update is available for the global edition of the device and carries the build number V11.0.10.0.QDLMIXM. The August update is actually the second that the Mi A2 Lite has received this month, following the release of the July update a few weeks ago.

This month's update seemingly only upgrades the Mi A2 Lite to the August set of security patches and does not contain any bug fixes. Xiaomi has also stressed that V11.0.10.0.QDLMIXM is currently undergoing a partial release, which means that the update is being pushed in batches. If your device is yet to receive the update, then you can download V11.0.10.0.QDLMIXM via the link below. Please note that the recovery zip file is significantly larger than the OTA file that Xiaomi is issuing to devices.

Overall, it is good to see Xiaomi stick to its commitment to delivering three years of updates to its Android One devices. These should run until July 2021, which would mark the device's third anniversary. Xiaomi is unlikely to push any new features or OS updates to the Mi A2 Lite, but it will continue to receive innovations via apps and packages that are updated through the Google Play Store.
