Global and European stable MIUI 12 updates rolled out for the Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro and Mi 9T Pro
The Redmi K20 Pro and Mi 9T Pro were two of the first devices to receive MIUI 12, although it has not been a straightforward upgrade path to Xiaomi's latest OS for some handsets. The European editions had their MIUI 12 upgrade delayed, for example, leaving many handsets stuck on MIUI 11. Now, a new MIUI 12 update has received the green light following a successful round of Beta Stable testing earlier this month. The update is called V18.104.22.168.QFKEUXM and is rolling out to eligible devices now.
Similarly, the global versions of the Redmi K20 Pro and Mi 9T Pro have received a new MIUI 12 update. If your device has not received V22.214.171.124.QFKMIXM, then it should receive V126.96.36.199.QFKMIXM within the next few days. Xiaomi has classified both the European and global updates as stable, so they should be arriving on all devices.
If your device is on MIUI 11, then you could install MIUI 12 manually. We have included links to the recovery zips below should you wish to upgrade your device to MIUI 12 that way. Please note that you should only install the version of MIUI 12 for your device. You can check whether your Redmi K20 Pro or Mi 9T Pro is running on the European or global branches of MIUI by heading to About Phone within Settings and checking the build number. If the final four characters are "EUXM", then your device is running European builds of MIUI 12. Likewise, "MIXM" denotes a global handset. Both recovery zips are 2.3 GB downloads and are hosted on Xiaomi's servers.
