The OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9R, OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus Watch are all tipped to launch this month as OnePlus hints at Hasselblad partnership in its first official teaser
OnePlus has published its first teaser for its next project, presumably the OnePlus 9 series. While the company is yet to mention the teaser on any of its social media channels, CEO Pete Lau has. Additionally, 'Moonshot' is live on at least its Indian, UK and US websites. Currently, OnePlus has only revealed that it will be making an announcement on March 8, but rumour has it that this will not be when any new hardware launches. According to Max Jambor, March 8 will serve as the date for when OnePlus announces the date of when it will unveil the OnePlus 9 series.
@Gadgetsdata adds that the series will debut in India during the third or fourth weeks of March. Specifically, the OnePlus 9 series will arrive between March 19 and March 28. Separately, Ishan Agarwal claims that OnePlus will use its March hardware event to unveil the OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, the OnePlus 9R and the OnePlus Watch.
In our opinion, today's teaser is a nod to OnePlus' rumoured partnership with Hasselblad. As TechDroider brought to our attention, the image in OnePlus' teaser is almost identical to one Hasselblad uses on its website. It remains unclear what work Hasselblad has done in tuning the cameras of the OnePlus 9 series. However, a leak published last month by Dave Lee suggests that at least the OnePlus 9 Pro will contain Hasselblad branding on its camera housing.
Undoubtedly, OnePlus will publish more teasers about the OnePlus 9 series in the next few days. The series is expected to feature improved video recording capabilities, among other things, along with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 SoC.
