The OnePlus 7T will be launched tomorrow, and OnePlus has confirmed that the device will run Android Q straight out of the box. That would make it the second device to launch with Android Q, behind the Huawei Mate 30.

OnePlus will launch the OnePlus 7T at events in North America and India tomorrow. The company has also confirmed that the device will launch with Android Q on board. That, will, of course, come in the guise of OnePlus's new OxygenOS 10. You can have a look at our OxygenOS 10 review here.

OnePlus used to catch a lot of flak for releasing its end-of-year devices with outdated versions of Android. The OnePlus 3T and 5T, for example, ran on Marshmallow and Nougat out of the box, even though newer versions were already released at the points of launch. The 6T was the first OnePlus devices to do things the right way, as it was released with Android Pie. Thankfully, the 7T will continue that trend.

"We're thrilled to offer Android 10, the latest software version, for our upcoming OnePlus 7T," OnePlus's CEO, Peter Lau said in a statement. "OnePlus will be the first smartphone manufacturer to preload Android 10 with Google's apps and services on their latest device. Our 'Never Settle' mindset ensures we are constantly seeking new ways to share the latest technology, giving our community the best 'fast and smooth' experience possible."

That statement is carefully worded, as the 7T will not be the first device to launch with Android Q; that honor goes to the Huawei Mate 30 phones. The statement does capitalize on the fact that Huawei's new flagships don't ship with Google's apps and services, though.
