ZTE's premium smartphone brand Nubia has yet to formally launch its upcoming Z40 Pro; however, the OEM has now seen fit to preface this event by unveiling this upcoming flagship smartphone's rear panel in full. The new official leak also serves to spill some additional specs for the device's cameras, already touted as a unique selling point for the phone.
The Z40 Pro is thus now officially a triple-rear-camera device, with a camera hump that could be described as a cross between that of the Galaxy S21 Ultra and the newer S22 Ultra (with perhaps a hint of the OPPO K9 Pro for good measure), although it seems to have just 2 choices of finish: silver or black. Then again, unlike these Samsung flagships, one lens is much, much bigger than the others.
This central feature is very clearly the "world's first" 35mm module, marked out as such with pro-camera-esque accents and markings overtly stating the same. It is also surrounded by text reading "OIS 7P F/1.6", which may thus also hint at additional properties of the markedly large new mobile camera.
The rest of the Z40 Pro's camera hump yields the legend "NEOVISION 1.6-3.4/14-125", thereby possibly hinting at additional wide-angle or zoom characteristics for the phone. Then again, Nubia is likely to clarify the terms during its presentation for its new flagship in full, now set for February 25, 2022.
