The LG V35 ThinQ is now receiving the Android Pie update, LG V30 to follow soon
LG's software update policy is definitely on the poor side, and the company is usually the last among the mainstream big brands to send out major updates—although HTC looks to be vying for that title. The smartphone manufacturer is now sending out the Android Pie update to the LG V35, albeit only in its home country of South Korea.
South Korea is usually the first market to receive LG's software updates, so this isn't really surprising. The fact that a Korean rollout is ongoing generally means that users in Europe will get theirs in the coming weeks, with America expected to follow. The V35 was exclusive to AT&T at launch, so that may mean that users in the US get the update quicker than normal.

I like tech, simple as. Half the time, you can catch me writing snarky sales copy. The rest of the time, I'm either keeping readers abreast with the latest happenings in the mobile tech world or watching football. I worked as both a journo and freelance content writer for a couple of years before joining the Notebookcheck team in 2017. Feel free to shoot me some questions on Twitter or Reddit if it so tickles thine fancy.
