The Honor 70 Pro Plus is tipped to become the world's first Dimensity 9000/LTPO OLED/Sony IMX 800/100 W-charging smartphone
The Honor 70 series is slated to launch very soon; nevertheless, the rumor mill persists in packing every day in the run-up to this event full of new leaks on the subject of the upcoming smartphones. The latest of these purports to add a new top-end variant, along with the alleged vanilla and Pro models alluded to in previous reports.
This 70 Pro+ apparently exists to combine all the best properties Honor can throw at its new devices. To this end, the phone is now expected to become its series' Dimensity 9000-powered flagship, whereas the 70 and 70 Pro will content themselves with the nearly-new Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 and the Dimensity 8000 respectively.
The latest leaked posters also mention some kind of "GPU Turbo X" augmentation for the top-end MediaTek platform, thereby suggesting that the 70 Pro+ will be the world's next independent display co-processor smartphone on its launch.
Then again, the Pro+ is tipped to share some high-end aspects with the 70, 70 Pro or both. They include OLED displays from BOE, although the vanilla variant may miss out on LTPO and adaptive refresh rate tech. It may have been cut in on the all-new Sony IMX800 main camera fun, though.
Then again, the 70 is now linked to last-gen 66W charging, whereas a newer 100W standard may have been confirmed outright for the Pro and Pro+. Should all these new details prove genuine, it seems all Honor might have to do on May 30, 2022 is announce pricing and availability for the new upper-mid-rangers. Signs of an international release would be great too, of course.
