Specs leak for the Honor 60 Pro 5G ahead of China launch: Snapdragon 778G chipset, a 6.8-in display and 5G connectivity
Tipster Ishan Agarwal recently outed system specs for the Honor 60 Pro 5G, an Android smartphone slated for a China launch later today.
The device looks to be firmly set in the midrange segment: we're looking at a Snapdragon 778G Plus processor and up to 12GB of RAM, paired with a 6.8-in OLED display at FHD+ resolution. As the name suggests, the smartphone will have support for 5G networks.
The Honor 60 Pro 5G shines in the camera department, with a 108MP primary camera and a 50MP sensor for the front cam.
The Honor 60 Pro 5G will reportedly feature a 4800 mAh battery. Paired with the relatively frugal Snapdragon 778G and the lower-resolution OLED panel, this could lead to exceptionally good battery life. The phone gets 66W fast charging, too, with Honor's SuperCharge technology. The Mate 40 Pro, a Huawei flagship with a similar battery size, charges up to 87 percent in just 30 minutes with 66W SuperCharge.
Pricing information is still unclear. However, we expect that the Honor 60 Pro 5G will be priced similar to its predecessor, the Honor 50, a midranger that starts at US$475.
