The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra's new One UI 4 beta is rated for multiple bug-fixes
Samsung's Galaxy Note 20 and 20 Ultra are part of the One UI beta program, which means the flagship phablets are on a short list of devices to get access to the OEM's build of Android 12. The Notes 20 are now on their third beta in a few markets, and addresses a number of issues caused by the second.
The Galaxy Note 20 and 20 Ultra just might be the last of their S Pen-toting line; however, they remain near the top of the list as far as Samsung's development of One UI goes. Their units can access beta builds of this Android skin's newest version in some markets.
Unfortunately, these advance public previews of One UI 4 have not worked out that well for the Note20 or its Ultra sibling thus far, resulting in several bugs including sudden-onset battery drain; the loss of fingerprint-sensor use in some apps; crashes on connected wearables of the Galaxy Watch4 series and excessively dim screens on boot.
However, Samsung asserts that these issues and more should be fixed in the latest update. This One UI 4 Beta 3 for the Galaxy Note 20 series (or software version ZUL1) has now been announced by the OEM. However, it is only available to users in the US or South Korea to date.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
