A new, potentially premium iQOO Neo-series smartphone shows up in new leaks
Is this the iQOO Neo6? (Source: Google via MyFixGuide)
iQOO may be on the verge of adding a Snapdragon 888-powered device to its often flagship-killing Neo series of smartphones. Now, it may have shown up on the Google Play Console and on the 3C regulatory database. It is shaping up to be a reasonably premium Android device for the end of 2021.
Vivo's sub-brand iQOO is now said to have a new generation to add to its premium specs/mid-range price Neo series of smartphones. Unlike the 5, its putative successor may have a full flagship-grade processor in the Snapdragon 888.
On the other hand, this new rumor is not based on much more than a new listing on the Google Play Console. It is for the "Vivo V2154A", a phone with an FHD+ display and the "Qualcomm SM8350" SoC (which is indeed the 888).
Should this really be the Neo6, iQOO's upcoming phone now stands to launch with 12GB of RAM and Android 11, as well as a fairly standard punch-hole and curved edges for its display.
The same model number has also appeared on the 3C database; however, it suggests that the same 6 will stick with Vivo's best 66W charging speed, rather than the rumored 100W upgrade which may now be reserved for a hypothetical 7 instead.
The "Neo6" lacks for a confirmed launch date or pricing structure. However, as the same brand now has a flagship with the newer Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor in the offing, the Neo6 might be in a position to get competitive on its debut.
