Work, watch movies, play games and be very portable - so a jack of all trades. The Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 is a compact gaming/multimedia laptop, which is not the lightest or the slimmest laptop out there, but you get a powerful dedicated graphics card in return. Asus improved some aspects of the 2026 model and also swapped the AMD CPU for a new Intel Panther Lake mobile processor. The raw performance of the CPU is actually not that much better compared to the previous Ryzen chip, but it is more efficient and also enables longer battery runtimes. The CPU performance is also very good in the Silent power profile, so you can enjoy a very quiet in everyday scenarios.
The fans will be very audible when you utilize the performance of the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti while playing games though. However, the gaming performance is excellent and the powerful components have to be cooled somehow. If you utilize technologies like DLSS or multi frame generation, however, you can also realize decent frame rates in the Silent mode.
If you like to watch movies or TV shows on the go, you will also be happy about the display upgrade. The new OLED screen (120 Hz) offers superb image quality and the brightness is now much higher compared to the previous version, which also improves HDR gaming or corresponding videos. The excellent sound system does not hurt, either.
One important aspect for working are the input devices. In addition to a very good clickpad, Asus uses an extremely comfortable keyboard with a generous travel of 1.7 mm. It is simply one of the best keyboard you can get on a laptop right now and the Zephyrus G14 does not have to hide behind expensive business laptops, either.
The biggest issue is the price. At $3199, the ROG Zephyrus G14 is very pricey and also considerably more expensive than the previous version. If you are willing to pay that much, though, you will get one of the best allrounders on the market. Please see our comprehensive review for more information on the new ROG Zephyrus G14.
