Best Buy is now running the “4th of July” sale with some juicy discounts on multimedia Windows laptops. For instance, if you only have around $900 to spend, you can get the 2026 Acer Swift Go 16 AI with 32 GB of RAM and an OLED display. If you want something more high-end with a faster processor and a stunning OLED display, Best Buy is also selling the Asus Zenbook S16 (2026) at a respectable discount.

The latest Asus Zenbook S16 (2026), which packs a Ryzen AI 9 465 APU, now costs $1,499.99 after a $300 price cut on the list price. While the price is a lot for a multimedia laptop, we found the Zenbook S16 (2026) to be a “perfect everyday laptop” in our review.

The Asus Zenbook S16 (2026) nails everything that a machine meant for daily use should. It is easy to carry thanks to its super-thin design and moderate weight. It is also plenty fast for light as well as demanding tasks. It also has plenty of ports, a good keyboard, good speakers, and long battery life. In fact, the laptop has very few cons, the biggest of which are the loud fans under load, non-upgradable RAM, and PWM flickering.

For most people who just need a reliable daily machine, 32 GB of RAM is plenty, and loud fans under load might not be an issue depending on your workload. A good pair of ANC headphones will also make the loud fans a non-issue (get one on Amazon).

The same can be said for the 16-inch OLED display, which, aside from PWM flickering, is practically flawless. The 2,880 x 1,800p OLED display refreshes at a smooth 120 Hz and covers full sRGB/DCI-P3/94% AdobeRGB. The screen also boasts up to 470 nits of SDR brightness, which can shoot up to 1,100 nits in HDR. 

Combine these display qualities with perfect blacks, touch support, and factory calibration, and the display on the Asus Zenbook S16 (2026) delivers everything you can ask for from a multimedia laptop.
