The Unisoc Tiger T618 (former Spreadtrum) is an entry level octa core SoC with two fast ARM Cortex A75 cores at up to 2 GHz and six power efficient ARM Cortex A55 cores at up to 2 GHz. The SoC furthermore includes an LTE modem (TDD-LTE, FDD-LTE, TDSCDMA, WCDMA, CDMA, GSM), a LPDDR3-933 / LPDDR4x-1866 memory controller and an ARM Mali G52MP2 GPU and a tri core ISP. The chip is manufactured at TSMC in 12nm FinFET. AI acceleration is handled by a visual digital signal processor (VDSP) clocked at up to 936 MHz.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 (SDM636) is a mid-range octa-core SoC with eight custom Kryo 260 cores at up to 1.8 GHz, an Adreno 509 GPU, a LPDDR4-2666 memory controller (1333 MHz) and a X12 LTE (Cat 12/13, 300 Mbps down, 150 Mbps up) modem. Furthermore, the chip supports 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0. It is manufactured in 14nm FinFet. Qualcomm states a 40% faster performance compared to the old Snapdragon 630 (8x ARM Cortex-A53).
The Unisoc Tiger T612 (former Spreadtrum) is an entry level octa core SoC with two fast ARM Cortex A75 cores at up to 1.8 GHz and six power efficient ARM Cortex A55 cores at up to 1.8 GHz. The SoC furthermore includes a LTE modem (TDD-LTE, FDD-LTE, TDSCDMA, WCDMA, CDMA, GSM), a LPDDR3-933 / LPDDR4/4X-1600 memory controller, an ARM Mali G52MP1 GPU at 614 MHz and a tri core ISP (24, 8 and 8 MPixels max). Compared to the older Unisoc T610, the T612 offers one GPU core less (G52 MC1 versus MC2).
