Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar hits PS5 and Xbox on May 28

Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar is heading to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on May 28, 2026. Marvelous confirmed the console ports this week, expanding the farming sim's reach beyond the Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PC platforms it launched on in August 2025. The PS5 and Xbox versions mark the first time the Story of Seasons series has appeared on PlayStation or Xbox hardware.

Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar is a remake of the 2010 Nintendo DS title Harvest Moon DS: Grand Bazaar. The new version rebuilds the original in full 3D with an expanded roster of characters, a larger world, and full voice work during story events – the first time any game in the series has included voiced dialogue. The setting is Zephyr Town, a mountainside farming community whose once-famous weekly bazaar has fallen into disrepair. Players take over a farm, grow crops, raise animals, and craft goods to sell at a stall in the bazaar each week. The wind plays a central role: windmills process produce into new sellable items, and a glider lets players travel across town quickly without walking between locations.

What the PS5 and Xbox versions bring

Marvelous has not detailed platform-specific enhancements for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions beyond confirming that both editions include all updates released since the August 2025 launch. That currently puts the game at version 1.4.0, which added two cherry blossom-themed gliders and a batch of Happy Bingo minigame rewards. A crossover with Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma has also been announced for the game, though specifics of what content will be available on launch for the new platforms have not been confirmed.

Physical editions are confirmed for both platforms. The standard edition is priced at $49.99. A Premium Edition at $69.99 includes the game alongside a plush Suffolk sheep, a cloth poster, an art book with over 115 pages of artwork, and an original soundtrack CD. Players who buy the digital version receive the Cow Set DLC, which adds a cow-themed glider and costume, as a purchase bonus.

How the game has done since launch

The August 2025 launch across Switch, Switch 2, and PC earned a 'Very Positive' rating on Steam within its first two days and strong critical reception across all platforms. Marvelous confirmed the game crossed 500,000 copies sold in the months following launch, a strong result for a franchise that had struggled to connect with younger audiences since the original Harvest Moon split into the rival Story of Seasons and Harvest Moon labels in 2014.
