Split Fiction is now available for purchase via Steam, Epic Games store, and the EA app for PC gamers. It is also available for Xbox and PlayStation players, but not for Nintendo Switch users. The game, developed by Hazelight Studios and published by Electronic Arts, is a co-op action adventure that is all about friendship, as stated by the developer in the release announcement. Hazelight Studios was also behind the highly popular and award-winning game It Takes Two.
The game was released on March 6 and is available on most platforms. It is priced at $50 on Steam, Epic Games store, and the EA app, as well as on PlayStation and Xbox. It is also Verified for the Steam Deck which means it is fully functional and optimized for the Valve handheld.
Split Fiction has only been live for a short while, but it has received overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam. Since launch, it has seen a peak player count of 197,434. The Steam store describes the setting as, “Mio and Zoe are contrasting writers – one writes sci-fi and the other writes fantasy – who become trapped in their own stories after being hooked up to a machine designed to steal their creative ideas.”
