If a top-down RPG like Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous isn't your type, but you still want one that has a somewhat medieval feel to it with third-person controls, Kingdom Come: Deliverance will be right up your alley. Despite launching in 2018, the game is still relevant today and can easily get you hundreds of hours.
For a marginally extra fee, you can get Kingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Edition that includes the base game and five pieces of DLC, an OST, and an art book. Unlike most games where the world revolves around you, in Kingdom Come: Deliverance, you start off as a nobody who has to work your way up the hierarchy.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance also offers you a multitude of choices that determine your fate. Combat might be a little frustrating for some because many argue it is a bit too realistic. However, with the right mix of stats and dialog choices, you should be able to negotiate your way out of most predicaments. Or become the master of arms and mow down everything in your path.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance has been discounted by 75% on Steam, as has its Royal Edition. Its recently announced successor, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, is unlikely to be discounted anytime soon because of its roaring success. All the more reason to pick up the original and familiarize yourself with the world before diving into the sequel. You have until 13 March to avail the offer.
