SparkO LED flashlight holds magnetically on shirts, iPhones or tents
SparkO was funded on Indiegogo at the end of 2025, the LED flashlight is now also available in stores. With a maximum brightness of 300 lumens, SparkO is said to be ten times brighter than the LED light of a smartphone. Although SparkO cannot compete with the brightest flashlights on the market, the lamp offers an extremely versatile design.
This is because the back of SparkO is magnetic, making it possible to attach the flashlight to metallic surfaces or even to the back of Qi2-compatible smartphones such as an Apple iPhone 17 ($770 on Amazon). As the front half with the LEDs and the rear half, which houses the battery, also adhere to each other magnetically, it is possible to attach the lamp to an item of clothing or a tent pole.
The color temperature of the LEDs can be adjusted from 2,700 to 6,500 Kelvin, whereby a mode with red light is also supported. Thanks to its high color fidelity, SparkO is also suitable as an accent light for photos or videos. The 40 gram heavy flashlight is IPX5 certified and therefore protected against water splashes and rain. The integrated 380 mAh battery is said to achieve a runtime of up to 14.5 hours, but Scoutlite does not comment on the battery life at maximum brightness. The flashlight is charged via a USB-C cable.
