Dyson Find+Follow Purifier Cool combats hot indoor air with camera and AI

Powerful air purifiers and fans without blades have been part of Dyson's product portfolio for years. The latest model introduces one innovative new feature in particular: a camera. This is combined with artificial intelligence to track the movement of people in the room.
This enables a feature that Dyson calls "Find+Follow", which can automatically direct the fan's airflow towards the user, regardless of where they are in the room. If there are several people, the settings are automatically adjusted so that a wider airflow is generated, which should benefit as many people in the same room as possible. According to Dyson, the images from the camera are analyzed directly in the fan and then deleted without ever being uploaded to a server
The Dyson Find+Follow Purifier Cool is designed to remove unpleasant odors, VOCs, nitrogen dioxide and particles as small as 0.3 micron from indoor air. The room air is analyzed continuously and a round display on the front shows stats about the air quality. In night mode, this display is dimmed, while the volume is reduced by 50 percent. The fan can be controlled remotely via the MyDyson smartphone app. Dyson doesn't install heating or cooling elements, but the powerful airflow should still have a cooling effect on hot summer days.
