SwitchBot's new portable fan has a 70-hour battery life and Matter support

SwitchBot has released a new portable fan under its Circulator Fan series. The new model is called the Battery Circulator Fan 2 Pro, and it arrives as a successor to the Battery Circulator Fan.

Just as its name says, the SwitchBot Battery Circulator Fan 2 Pro has a built-in battery, which makes it useful when there is a power cut. In addition to being used as a standalone cooling device, the fan can also be used to improve the circulation of air from an air conditioner or mist from a humidifier. The fan features a built-in filter and an aroma cartridge, so it blows clean and scented air.

According to SwitchBot, the fan has a coverage of 110 ft and a max Air volume of 477 CFM, a 41% and 48% increase respectively, compared to the previous generation. The SwitchBot Battery Circulator Fan 2 Pro has a DC motor with a rated power of 24W. It is advertised as being quiet (as low as 21dB), making it suitable for use during the night. It also has an integrated soft light, so it doubles as a bedside lamp.

Switchbot has designed the battery Circulator Fan 2 Pro to be easily cleanable, as most of its parts such as the covers, filter, and fan blades can be removed and washed. The fan has capacitive buttons and can also be operated with the included remote.

It also has Matter support, so it integrates easily with your preferred smart home ecosystem without the need for a SwitchBot Hub like its predecessor (curr. available on Amazon for $69.99). Once connected, users can operate the fan using voice commands or their smart home system's companion app. With the companion app, users should be able to switch between different fan modes or change the oscillation.

The SwitchBot Battery Circulator Fan 2 Pro has a battery life of up to 70 hours on a single charge. Although, battery life will be lower when used at max speed. It has an AC plug and also charges via USB-C, and a full charge is reported to take about 10 hours with the AC plug.
