The PlayStation Classic was a massive missed opportunity for Sony. While there were numerous issues with the micro-console at launch, the PlayStation Classic still offers a decent value. There are a few excellent games onboard, and hacking the device into a retro emulation box is fairly straightforward. At its $100 MSRP, the PS Classic may be a hard pill to swallow, but a 70% discount makes the console much more appetizing.
Amazon and Walmart are both selling the PlayStation Classic for US $29.99 now, its lowest price ever. The deal is part of Sony’s Days of Play 2019 E3 sales event. The PlayStation Classic is probably the best deal here; at $30, you can nab a decent little box onto which you can easily load other retro emulators and ROMs.
Sony is also offering a 12-month PlayStation Plus membership at Amazon for $40. Interested buyers can also bundle a year-long membership with a $50 gift card for $87.99 at NewEgg.
Also on sale are the 1 TB model of the PlayStation 4 Slim ($300), the 1 TB model of the PlayStation 4 Pro ($350), a PSVR bundle with Blood & Truth and Everybody's Golf VR, PlayStation 4 controllers for $40 each, and a smattering of games.
Not too shabby for the PlayStation fans among us.
