Sniper Elite V2 came out in 2012 and was available for a wide range of platforms, including Microsoft Windows PCs, PlayStation 3 and 4, Xbox 360 and One, Wii U, and Nintendo Switch. Now, the time has come for a remastered edition, but this will not be available for the older consoles mentioned above.
The upcoming Sniper Elite V2 Remastered will feature enhanced graphics and will also include all DLCs launched for the original game. Even more, the new title will come with new playable characters, frame-by-frame photo mode, multiplayer & co-op modes for up to 16 players, including Deathmatch, Distance King, Dogtag Harvest, and Capture the Flag.
Steam users who already own Sniper Elite V2 will be able to upgrade to the remastered edition for just US$9.99. The others can place their pre-orders already, but only for PC and PlayStation 4. Xbox One digital pre-orders and Nintendo Switch pre-purchases will go live on April 24. Everyone will be able to start playing on May 14, when boxed editions for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch will also hit the market via Sold Out.
Would you go to 1945's Berlin in 4K with HDR support thanks to Sniper Elite V2, or do you think this is just another attempt at squeezing some more money off an old title? The movie embedded below might help you decide.
