Qualcomm has just unveiled Samsung as the Official Smartphone Partner for the Snapdragon Pro Series. The "world's largest multi-genre mobile esports competition" holds Open, Challenge and Masters events in games that include League of Legends: Wild Rift, Brawl Stars, PUBG, Clash of Clans and Free Fire across multiple regions worldwide.
The new partnership will see all those matches played exclusively on Samsung devices. Qualcomm, which runs the Series along with the facilitator ESL FACEIT Group, has yet to mention precisely which ones will be involved, although it indicates that they will be "high-performance" Galaxy-series handsets with (somewhat obviously) Snapdragon SoCs.
They will become official competition devices for Pro Series events in the MENA, North American, Indian and European regions from now until 2024, starting with the upcoming Mobile Challenge Finals at this year's DreamHack event in Valencia, Spain. Those matches are scheduled to run from December 9 to 11, 2022.
