Smartmi has launched the Jya Fjord Air Purifier in the US. According to the company, the device can monitor the air quality and purify it every 15 minutes. The purifier is suitable for rooms from 334 to 518 ft² (~31 to 54 m²) in size. Plus, the gadget has a clean air delivery rate (CADR) of 450 m³/h (255 cfm). NanoGuard Technology brings a three-stage purification system to the device to collect a range of particles from dust mites to viruses and tobacco smoke, with integrated UV sterilization.
Intelligent air quality sensors allow the device to boost circulation as needed automatically. The air purifier is compatible with many smart home systems, including Smartmi Link, Google Home, Apple HomeKit and Amazon Alexa. You can also control the air purifier using the built-in OLED touchscreen display. The gadget can work quietly, producing as little as 18.8 dBA in Whisper Clean mode. The device measures 290 x 260 x 535 mm (~11.4 x 10.2 x 21.1-in), weighs 6.5 kg (~14.3 lbs), and is mounted on wheels to make it easier to move around your home.
A larger model, the Jya Fjord Pro, has also been teased for a launch in North America. The Pro model is suitable for rooms from 414 to 710 ft² (~38 to 66 m²) in size, with a CADR of 550 m³/h (293 cfm). You can buy the Jya Fjord Air Purifier in the US for the discounted price of US$319; the product will eventually retail for US$399.
