Deal | Jya Fjord smart home air purifier now on sale for $319 USD with one year warranty and free shipping
Jya is currently running a sale on its Fjord air purifier for 20 percent off the original launch price of $400 USD. The air purifier is notable for its large area coverage of 333 to 581 ft² and fast TVOC clean air delivery rate of 88 cfm. The manufacturer has sent us a sample for our honest impressions.
Though we're no stranger to testing out air purifiers, one particular feature of the Fjord stuck out to us: wheels. The Fjord is consequently much easier to move around the house as needed when compared to most alternatives in the market. You can only go so far as its 5 ft AC adapter cable can allow, but it's incredibly handy nonetheless.

Once in position, users can connect to the unit via the Smartmi Link app on Android or iOS. Keep in mind that the unit is only compatible with 2.4 GHz networks and that you must accept location services in the app or else you will not be able to connect to the Fjord.
The app provides real-time PM2.5 readings, temperature, humidity, and filter life remaining as well as the controls for fan speeds, timers, and the internal UV light. These same features are accessible with the touchscreen on the Fjord itself, but it's inarguably more convenient with the smartphone app.
Speaking of the Fjord touchscreen, the round display is far too small and slow to respond. Scrolling through its various settings feels like using a slow smartwatch with a very low refresh rate. The display on the Proscenic is clearer and larger in comparison, but it doesn't show as much information as the touchscreen on the Fjord.
The manufacturer recommends replacing the filter every 6 to 12 months. The process is very simple as the top of the Fjord comes off to reveal the drum inside. The UV light, however, is not user replaceable and so it is recommended to turn on the light sparingly during seasons of high pollen.
There are four speed settings available: Sleep, Manual, Auto, and Extreme Speed. We've measured the Sleep and Extreme Speed fan noise with a microphone to compare it with other air purifiers and the results are shown in the table below. Auto mode will be serviceable for most users.
Users interested in purchasing the Jya Fjord can do so directly from the manufacturer here. It's pricey at over $300 USD especially when the Proscenic A9 and Zigma Aerio 300 are a fraction of the price and come with similar app connectivity features.
