Simply NUC introduces Cypress mini PCs with AMD Ryzen Embedded V2000 processors

Simply NUC is expanding its AMD-based mini PC portfolio with the new Long-Life Mini Cypress models that feature the Ryzen Embedded V2000 processors with integrated Vega 7 graphics.

The base configuration includes a Ryzen V2516 Embedded processor coupled with 4 GB of RAM and a 128 GB NVMe SSD. However, Simply NUC also offers more powerful processor options like the V2546 and V2748 Embedded, plus more RAM options up to 64 GB DDR4-3200 (2x SO-DIMMs) and storage capacities of up to 10 TB via 2x M.2 2280 slots. For the OS, users can opt for a free Ubuntu Linux or a paid Windows 10 Pro / Home / IoT license.

By default, the 4x4-inch motherboard integrates a 2.5 Gb Ethernet NIC with jack and a Wi-Fi 6 + BT 5 card is provided, as well. Port selection supports quad-4K video outputs through 2x HDMI 2.1 and 2x USB-C 3.2 with DP 1.4 mode, and includes 1x USB-A 3.2 and 1x USB-A 2.0 connectors on the front panel. There are no audio jacks, as the audio signals can be delivered through HDMI.

Both the base configuration with prices starting at US$639 and the high-end V2748 model are currently shipping, while the mid-range V2546 variant will be available in November. Simply NUC is planning to offer other motherboard form factors for deeply embedded usages in early 2002.
