The iBASE MI989 offers AMD Ryzen Embedded V2000 APUs in a Mini-ITX form factor
iBase has revealed a new Mini-ITX board, the MI989. The iBASE MI989 features the AMD Ryzen Embedded V2718 or the Ryzen Embedded V2748, eight-core processors that have 15 W and 45 W TDPs, respectively. The Ryzen Embedded V2000 series has Zen 2 cores manufactured on a 7 nm process for reference, and includes support for Simultaneous multithreading (SMT).
Additionally, the iBASE MI989 has dual SODIMM sockets for up to 64 GB of dual-channel DDR4 RAM. iBASE has included a SATA 3.0 connection too, along with an M.2 2280 M-Key for NVMe SSDs. Similarly, the board has an M.2 2230 E-Key for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and an M.2 3052 B-Key for including a cellular module. The iBASE MI989 also has plenty of ports, as the photos below show. In short, the machine has five USB ports, dual Gigabit Ethernet connections and four DisplayPort 1.4 ports.
iBASE does not discuss software support, but there should be no problem with installing Linux or Windows. To that end, the company has included a TPM 2.0 chip, which should make the iBASE MI989 compatible with Windows 11. The iBASE MI989 is available to order now for an undisclosed price.
