Seiko’s latest limited edition makes a compelling case for vintage white dials
Seiko and TiCTAC are adding another limited-edition mechanical watch to their popular lineup, this time with a creamy off-white dial and warm, faux-aged lume that give it plenty of vintage appeal. The HZB002J launches in Japan on October 24 for ¥55,000.

Seiko has teamed up with the Japanese watch retailer TicTAC once again for a new limited edition mechanical watch. The new Seiko x TicTAC HZB002J is a fresh addition to the runaway-hit collaborative series and comes with a vintage-inspired white dial.

Since the duo debuted the first collaboration models in 2019, these elevated field-dress hybrids have commanded serious enthusiast attention, and the latest model is another thoughtfully executed design that should appeal to fans of vintage-inspired watches.

Rather than opting for a stark white colorway, the new HZB002J features an off-white dial that shifts tone in the light. The dimensions and overall design language are unchanged from the earlier iterations, with the new model still featuring the printed open “6” and “12” Arabic numerals flanked by cleanly outlined baton hour markers.

Each index is filled with warm, creamy luminescent paint echoing the mellowed patina of aged vintage tritium from the late 20th century.

A railroad minute track circles the dial, while a date aperture sits at 3 o'clock and the signature Seiko logo sits up top. Black cathedral hands—reminiscent of the beloved Alpinist—along with an arrow-tipped seconds hand complete the retro look.

The watch is housed in an everyday-friendly stainless steel case measuring 40mm across, 48mm lug-to-lug, and a slim 11mm thick. It features brushed lug tops matched with mirror-polished case flanks and a smooth polished bezel. A domed, curved Hardlex crystal guards the dial, while drilled lug holes make strap swaps a breeze, though it ships on a solid, brushed three-link stainless steel oyster-style bracelet fitted with a push-button folding clasp.

The watch is powered by Seiko’s workhorse automatic caliber 4R35, and you can see the movement in action through an exhibition caseback. The movement boasts a 41-hour power reserve and hacking seconds, while the whole package is water-resistant up to 100 meters.

Pricing & Availability

Like the previous models, the new Seiko x TicTAC HZB002J is a JDM release. It's priced at ¥55,000 (around $350) and will be sold through TiCTAC stores and its official online shop in Japan. While it’s a Japan-only release, international buyers aren’t necessarily out of luck: TiCTAC offers overseas shipping through WorldShopping.
