Seiko unveils new Godzilla watch inspired by King Ghidorah with numbered caseback

A three-headed monster has found its way onto a Seiko watch. Bandai has unveiled a new collaboration inspired by King Ghidorah from Godzilla Minus Zero, combining a distinctive creature-themed dial with gold-coloured accents and an individually numbered caseback.
According to Bandai's official announcement, preorders opened in Japan on 6 November 2026 through Premium Bandai's Bancolle! store. The watch costs ¥66,000 (approximately £320), including Japanese consumption tax but excluding shipping and handling.
King Ghidorah's design takes centre stage
The dial incorporates patterns inspired by gravitational pull and the monster's textured body, while the hour markers evoke its claws. Gold-coloured finishes on the crown at 3 o'clock and chronograph pushers at 2 and 4 o'clock complete the design.
The stainless steel case measures approximately 47.2 × 39.2 × 11.35 mm and houses a battery-powered quartz movement with a stated accuracy of ±15 seconds per month. Bandai also lists a three-year battery life, curved Hardlex crystal, 10 ATM water resistance and JIS Class 1 magnetic resistance.

The stainless steel bracelet features Seiko's tool-assisted adjustment system. Buyers also receive a gold-coloured presentation box, the necessary adjustment tool and a three-year warranty.
Preorders are scheduled to close on 24 December 2026 at 23:00 JST, although Bandai warns that orders may end earlier if the available allocation sells out.
The timing is fitting, with the watch's Japanese preorder launch coinciding with the North American theatrical release of Godzilla Minus Zero. Fans will have to wait a little longer to wear it, however, as deliveries are scheduled for June 2027.
