The Scott Lumen eRide Bike series has been launched. Three new models are available: the Scott Lumen eRide 910, the Scott Lumen eRide 900 and the Scott Lumen eRide 900 SL. Each model has a TQ HPR50 mid-motor drive, providing a top assistance speed of 20 mph (~25 kph) and up to 50 Nm of torque. The e-bikes come with a 360 Wh internal battery, and the 900 SL has a 160 Wh range extender providing over 80 km (~50 miles) of assistance range.
All of the Lumen eRide electric bicycles also have a handlebar-mounted switch, TQ HPR display and accompanying smartphone app to adjust the bike’s settings and view the battery charge level and journey statistics. The entry-level 910 has a Shadow Plus 12-speed derailleur, but the 900 models have 12-speed SRAM parts with a wireless electronic shift system. Similar differences appear across the shifter, chain and cassette, with Shimano parts used in the 910 model and SRAM elements in the higher-end bikes.
Each variant has 29 x 2.4-in (~74 x 6.1 cm) tires and a carbon frame. The bikes weigh from 15.5 to 17.6 kg (~34.2 to 38.8 lbs) and support loads up to 128 kg (~282 lbs). The Scott Lumen eRide 910 Bike costs US$6,999.99, while the Scoot Lumen eRide 900 SL has an MSRP of US$15,999.99.
