The BUXUS Eva e-bike is now crowdfunding on Indiegogo. The electric bicycle was unveiled earlier this year with a motorcycle-inspired design. The bike has a 750 W hub motor which can assist you at speeds up to 30 mph (~48 kph) and deliver 80 Nm of torque. You can choose from three pedal assistance levels, with a 12-magnet sensor automatically switching on the assistance as necessary.
A 960 Wh Samsung lithium battery provides an assistance range of 64 miles (~103 km), fully recharging in 4.5 hours. Other elements of the bike include four-piston 180 mm hydraulic disc brakes, 20 x 4.5-in (~51 x 11.4 cm) moped-style fat tires and a dual suspension system for a more comfortable ride. You can use the BUXUS smart app and an eSIM to enable features such as keyless entry and alarm-based anti-theft technology. Plus, you can use the app to adjust the bike’s settings, view and journey statistics and receive OTA updates for parts like the AI-powered torque sensor.
The bike weighs 100 lbs (~45 kg) without the battery and can support loads up to 661 lbs (~300 kg). The lowest pledge level of the Indiegogo campaign for the BUXUS Eva electric bike is currently US$1,599; the MSRP of the product is listed as US$2,790. The company is shipping the product worldwide, with local deliveries expected in April.
