The MATE SUV e-bike has been launched. The electric bicycle has a 250 W motor providing up to 90 Nm of torque. The engine can assist you at speeds up to 25 kph (~16 mph) for over 100 km (~62 miles) on a single battery charge. The Danish company is billing the MATE SUV as an alternative to a car, with a load capacity to support an adult and up to two children, with a 210 L load capacity.
A range of modular accessories is available for the e-bike, including seats and storage boxes. You can choose from several frame colors and upgrade to off-road tires should you wish. The MATE SUV has three wheels, two at the front and one at the rear. The bicycle also has Enviolo internal gears and hydraulic disc brakes at the front and rear to help shorten stopping distances. 4G connectivity lets you track the bicycle’s location, and you can view and control various settings via an accompanying smartphone app.
The bike has a 90% recycled aluminum frame and is suitable for riders from 160 to 210 cm (~5 ft 3-in to 6 ft 11-in) tall. You can now reserve the MATE SUV electric bicycle with a €49 (~US$52) deposit. Customers can save up to 20% off the €6,499 (~US$6,848) MSRP until December 31. The bike is available in the EU, the UK and the US, and the company estimates that it will deliver the e-bike in September 2023.
