Reportedly, Samsung is gearing to upgrade over 70 devices to Android 13 from this autumn onwards. However, the company is slated to open its One UI 5 beta program much earlier, potentially when Android 13 reaches Platform Stability in the summer.

The public release of Android 13 may seem like a while away, especially considering the lack of Android 12 for many smartphones. SamMobile alleges that Samsung is already working towards delivering Android 13 beta builds though, and from as soon as July. Based on Google's release timeline, Android 13 will reach Platform Stability in June, with Beta Releases due later this month.

Seemingly then, Samsung will only begin its One UI 5.0 beta program once Android 13 reaches Platform Stability. Unfortunately, Samsung has not confirmed that this will be the case. Instead, we must take SamMobile at its word. Supposedly, the website has received this information from its sources, the identity of which it has elected to keep anonymous.

Additionally, SamMobile has provided a list of devices that should receive One UI 5 and, by extension, Android 13. Again, Samsung has not published any update plans for One UI 5, which we doubt it will do until it publicly releases One UI 5. However, it has based its list on Samsung's firmware update policies. Presumably, One UI 5 will not land on any of these devices until the autumn, at the earliest. Still, SamMobile claims that Samsung will upgrade over 70 devices, notwithstanding 5G and LTE variants.
