Samsung releases new compact 60W charger for Galaxy S26 Ultra

Samsung unveiled the new Galaxy S26 phones at the recent Unpacked event, introducing several upgrades, including faster wired charging speeds. Specifically, the Galaxy S26 Ultra now supports up to 60W Super Fast Charging 2.0, up from 45W on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 Plus and Galaxy S26 retain the same 45W and 25W charging speeds as their predecessors.
To match that upgrade, Samsung has also released a new 60W USB-C power adapter with Super Fast Charging 2.0 support. According to Samsung, the adapter can take a dead Galaxy S26 Ultra to around 75% in about 30 minutes. Beyond the Ultra, the charger also supports Super Fast Charging, Power Delivery 3.1, and PPS, meaning it can still push the maximum supported speeds on the rest of the Galaxy S26 lineup and older compatible Galaxy devices.
That said, the charger is rated to draw very little power when idle, less than 0.005W, making it more efficient than older alternatives. It also includes protections against overcharging, overheating, and short circuits to help keep connected devices safe. The adapter itself is fairly compact, measuring 46.0 x 64.2 x 28.0 mm and weighing 104.2 g, but the prongs aren't foldable like in many Anker and Ugreen alternatives.
The Samsung 60W PD Power Adapter is now available directly from Samsung and Best Buy. It's priced at $54.99, although an early bird discount currently drops it to $38.49 on the Samsung website. It doesn't come with a charging cable in the box.
