Samsung Galaxy Sport smartwatch hits FCC, could launch alongside the Galaxy S10 family
The Samsung Gear Sport will soon get a successor since a device that appears to be the Galaxy Sport has been certified by the FCC. Since there is almost one month left until the February 20 Galaxy Unpacked event, it would not be surprising to see the aforementioned smart wearable making its first public appearance alongside the Galaxy S10 family.
However, the above should be taken with a grain of salt for now because Samsung usually does not reveal new smartwatches at the same events as the Galaxy S flagships. Since the Galaxy S10 flagships are expected to arrive together with Samsung's long-awaited foldable handset, the Galaxy Sport would be pushed all the way down to the "Other news" category.
According to the rumors that surfaced so far, the Galaxy Sport (codenamed Pulse) features 4 GB of internal storage space, Bixby support, and will be the first Samsung wearable to feature Bixby Reminders. The list of color options is expected to include black, gold, green, and silver. Since Samsung is also working on updated IconX wireless earbuds and a refreshed Gear Fit fitness tracker, it could also be possible to see them all arriving at a separate event, maybe at MWC 2019, which kicks off on February 25.
P.S. The video below shows the Samsung Gear Sport in action, which might turn into an attractive wearable given its age and the discounts that should arrive with its successor.
