Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra final design revealed with a more straightforward camera arrangement
LetsGoDigital and Technizo Concept have published more renders of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, Samsung's presumed premier smartphone for the first half of 2022. Previously, OnLeaks showcased two designs, one with a p-shaped camera housing and another with two vertically-aligned housings.
According to @UniverseIce, neither of these are the final designs. Instead, the leaker has thrown their weight behind the renders presented by LetsGoDigital and Technizo Concept. Ultimately, the design presented looks like the Galaxy S21 Ultra with its camera housing removed. Supposedly, Samsung has settled on this design to counteract the additional weight associated with integrating an S Pen within the device.
As others have commented online, the renders remind us of the LG Velvet, released last year. Accordingly, the Galaxy S22 Ultra still has camera bumps; they do not sit flush with the rear housing, or beneath it. However, the raised edges should prevent the lenses from scratching on hard or rough surfaces.
The Galaxy S22 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.8-inch display, along with Exynos 2200 or Snapdragon 898 SoCs depending on where you live. The Galaxy S22 series is tipped to launch in early 2022.
