Leaked Galaxy S22 measurements ignite hopes of a compact flagship phone like the Galaxy S10e
Samsung will release three phones in the Galaxy S22 series—the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. A new leak has now revealed the dimensions of all three phones, with the Galaxy S22, in particular, looking set to appeal to the enthusiast crowd.
As shared on Weibo, the vanilla Galaxy S22 will bear measurements of 145.98 mm x 70.56 mm x 7.65 mm. That's smaller than the Galaxy S21 but shouldn't be a surprise, as leaks have established that the Galaxy S22 will have a 6.06-inch display, versus the S21's 6.2-inch display.
While this downsizing comes with a decrease in battery capacity, there's a rather vocal section of the enthusiast crowd always on the search for premium compact phones. The Galaxy S22 looks set to finally deliver theirs hearts' desires. The Galaxy S10e is widely acclaimed as the last true Android flagship, but the Galaxy S22 will be a tad bigger at most and should make lovers of compact phones happy.
The Galaxy S10e measures in at 142.2 mm x 69.9 mm x 7.65 mm, which is rather similar to the listed dimensions of the Galaxy S22, with the latter set to be just 0.6 mm thicker, for example. Assuming these dimensions are right, the Galaxy S22 will be smaller than the Sony Xperia 5 III (157 mm x 68 mm x 8.2 mm) and 5.9-inch Asus Zenfone 8 (148 mm x 68.5 mm x 8.9 mm).
