The rumor mill for Samsung's next-gen mainstream flagship phones, the Galaxy S22 series, is at its peak. Reports over the past few days have indicated that Samsung could unveil the phones earlier than normal, but a new leak now says otherwise.
Going by word on the grapevine, Samsung will not unveil the Galaxy S22 series this year, contrary to what some reports have claimed. Those reports tipped a December date for Unpacked, but new information leans towards that being false. That means that Samsung's Unpacked event for the Galaxy S22 series is likely scheduled for January. The Galaxy S21 series was unveiled on January 14, so we could see a mid-January event for the Galaxy S22 series.
The source also purports that the Galaxy S21 FE is not canceled. Supposedly, Samsung will still release the phone, just without a dedicated event. At this point, one has to question if the Galaxy S21 FE is still necessary, seeing as the S21 is already discounted and the S22 series is set to debut relatively soon.

- S21 FE October Unpacked is cancelled
- No S22 Unpacked in December, as of now. December will mostly about stable OneUI 4 update and *maybe* new Exynos 2200
