Samsung is expected to debut the Galaxy S22 series shortly as its mainstream flagship lineup for the year. While details of the phones have leaked rather thoroughly over the past few months, a new leak has now revealed an important tidbit on the displays of the Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra.
As revealed by Equal Leaks, both the Galaxy S22+ and S22 Ultra look set to sport some of the brightest AMOLEDs on a smartphone yet. In what appears to be a certification listing, both the S22+ and S22 Ultra are reported as featuring displays with a peak brightness of 1750 nits. That's impressive as most smartphones so far top out at 1600 nits. Samsung's own E5 panels look to max out at 1500 nits on most third-party applications, with Xiaomi's Mi 11 Ultra being widely regarded as the brightest display yet at 1700 nits.
Either way, the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series have typically debuted the best AMOLED panels on the market, and the Galaxy S22 series looks set to continue that trend in style. The same listing also confirms that the Galaxy S22+ will sport a 6.55-inch display, while the Galaxy S22 Ultra will pick up the Galaxy Note's mantle with a 6.81-inch screen.
