For now, there are not many options available for those who want a 5G handset. However, the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G is one of the best flagships currently available on the market — 5G-capable or not — and, just as expected, it has just been added to Verizon's portfolio (the product page).
After a short pre-order period, Samsung's 5G flagship can be purchased from Verizon retail locations or directly from the company's website. In this case, the buyer does not have to pay anything extra, since Verizon is offering free 2-day shipping to all US customers — as long as they are not living in Alaska or Hawaii.
The two color choices are Majestic Black and Crown Silver. They have no impact on the retail price, but the storage capacity does: the 256 GB model comes for US$1,299.99 and the 512 GB Galaxy S10 5G has a price tag of US$1,399.99. For those who choose to go with 24 monthly payments instead, the monthly payments will be US$54.16 and US$58.33.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G is — according to DxOMark — an excellent performer when it comes to mobile photography and video shooting tasks. However, taking full advantage of its 5G connectivity potential might take a while (you might want to check out these tests performed less than two months ago in downtown Chicago using 5G-capable Motorola handsets).
