Samsung Galaxy S10 5G confirmed to hit South Korea this Friday
Earlier today, Samsung Electronics revealed that the Galaxy S10 5G is ready to hit the market and will be available for purchase in its home market starting April 5. According to the official announcement, "The introduction of the Galaxy S10 5G is a key milestone in Samsung’s research and development that also includes key breakthroughs like the world’s first gigabit speed 5G transmission, the first 5G handover between multiple cells, and now, its first 5G smartphone available on the market."
The Samsung Galaxy S10 G5 is similar to the Galaxy S10+, but sports a 3D Depth Camera module for a total of six cameras and a 4,500 mAh battery with Wireless PowerShare and Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 support. The handset sports 8 GB of memory and 256 or 512 GB of internal storage, depending on market and mobile operator. The 6.7-inch Quad HD+ Curved Dynamic AMOLED screen comes with full HD+ as the default resolution, but can be changed to Quad HD+ (WQHD+) in Settings.
The color options available at launch in South Korea are Majestic Black, Royal Gold, and Crown Silver. The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G will hit other markets in the near future as well. Samsung has not revealed any information about the pricing, but if the latest reports turn out to be right, the Galaxy S10 5G will start at the equivalent of US$1285 (8 GB/256 GB model).
