Rumored Apple iPhone 13 and iPhone SE 3 details appear: mmWave 5G for the Pro and Pro Max; 2022 launch for the third-generation iPhone SE
Some interesting supposed details about the iPhone 13 lineup and the next iteration of the Apple iPhone SE have come from Mizuho Securities via Ross Young. There will be four models making up the Apple iPhone 13 range: a 6.67-inch Pro Max, 6.06-inch Pro, 6.06-inch regular phone, and a 5.42-inch “mini” variant. All four will feature OLED panels, which will be supplied by Samsung (SDC) for the Pro Max model, LG and BOE for the Pro and regular smartphones, and SDC and LG for the “mini” iPhone 13.
Additional details included in a published table (see below) show that mmWave 5G and sub 6 GHz connectivity will be available on the iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro, while the other two devices will have to settle for sub 6 GHz 5G. Young states that the two iPhone 13 Pro smartphone models will utilize ProMotion for variable refresh rates (display @120 Hz) and will offer triple rear camera setups and ToF cameras.
As for the Apple iPhone SE 3, it seems fans of the smaller form will have to wait until spring 2022 before the third-generation SE makes an appearance. Apparently, it will have a 6.06-inch LCD screen, dual rear camera system, and a fingerprint sensor. While the iPhone 13 smartphones will be treated with integrated touch panels based on Samsung’s Y-OCTA technology, the third-generation Apple iPhone SE 3 will have to make do with an in-cell touch solution for its screen.
