Roborock has launched the P20 Pro robot vacuum series in China, with two models now available to pre-order. The robot has an exceptionally higher suction power compared to current global models. Plus, there are enhanced anti-tangle brushes, a new climbing ability and improved carpet cleaning.

The Roborock P20 Pro is now available to pre-order in China. The new robot vacuum and mop was teased on Weibo earlier this month and will officially launch in the region on September 15th. The latest model has many upgrades on the currently range-topping model for the global market, the S8 MaxV Ultra.

As rumors suggested, the P20 Pro offers up to 18,500Pa suction power, a significant increase on the 10,000Pa of the older model. It is also said to deliver a 100% hair suction rate thanks to an anti-tangle double roller brush and side brush. As seen on other models, FlexiArm helps the robot clean the corners and edges of the room, and the mop rotates 200 times per minute. The brushes and mops automatically lift when a carpet is detected, and there are new carpet cleaning techniques to suit different pile lengths and other fabrics like bath mats.

On top of this, the AdaptiLift Chassis enables the P20 to climb obstacles up to 4cm (~1.6 inches) tall, which Roborock claims is an industry first. The Self Cleaning 2.0 docking station allows for hands-free cleaning, with 75°C (~167°F) hot water mop washing, built-in scrapers and 45°C (~113°F) hot air drying. You can control the robot in the Roborock app or with enhanced voice commands thanks to RRmind GPT. This technology allows more natural language interactions, so you can ask the robot to clean in a particular area, to suggest cleaning tips or for customer support. The device has a 6,400mAh battery, which the company suggests makes it suitable for a large apartment, and uses LDS navigation and Reactive AI obstacle avoidance to navigate your home.

You can pre-order the Roborock P20 Pro with a water tank in China for 3,999 yuan (~$562), while the P20 Pro Smart Water Drain Edition is priced at 4,599 yuan (~$646). It remains to be seen whether or when these models could launch in other markets like North America or Europe.
