It has only been two months since Lenovo refreshed its Legion series with AMD Ryzen 5000 APUs, but it seems that the company plans to release Tiger Lake-H45 editions soon too. We would recommend dismissing the low prices shown below for the time being on account of how low they are, but the specifications and part numbers are repeated across multiple retailers. Specifically, Provantage listed the following Tiger Lake-H45 processors:
Based on past leaks, we expect Intel to announce at least the Core i9-11900H, which should be a locked version of the Core i9-11980HK. Provantage is one of several retailers to have listed Legion laptops with Tiger Lake-H45 processors, including Connection, CompSource and United Office. According to the retailers, we should expect to see Lenovo announce the following machines within the next few months:
- Legion 5i 15ITH6 (82JK0000US)
- Legion 5 17ITH6H (82JM0000US)
- Legion 7 16ITHG6 (82K60003US)
Little is known about these processors, but the Core i9-11980HK will be at the top of the Tiger Lake-H45 product stack with eight cores. The Core i9-11980HK is also expected to boost up to 5 GHz with a 2.6 GHz base clock. Currently, it seems that only the Core i9-11980HK will reach 5.0 GHz. Unsurprisingly, Intel will continue to restrict its Core i5 H-series processors to six cores.
