Deal | Lenovo ThinkBook 14 Gen 2 now down to $571 USD with AMD Ryzen 5 4500U CPU, 1080p IPS display, and 512 GB SSD
The barely one-year old Lenovo ThinkBook 14 Gen 2 is on sale directly from Lenovo at the moment after applying the coupon code 'THINKMARDEAL' before checkout. The laptop originally launched for over $1000 USD. Lenovo's ThinkBook series was designed to be a hybrid between the consumer Yoga series and business-centric ThinkPad series.
Core specifications are impressive for the price. Users are getting a 7 nm Ryzen 5 4500U CPU which is roughly comparable to the best Intel 10th gen Ice Lake processors available that typically retail for hundreds of dollars more. The roomy 512 GB NVMe SSD and decent 1080p IPS display should be more than enough for most office users.
Main drawbacks include the 8 GB of soldered RAM and lack of Thunderbolt support. Nonetheless, users can still connect external monitors, USB-based docking stations, or third-party AC adapter chargers. The 8 GB of RAM, however, will likely turn off heavy multi-taskers.
Notebookcheck has yet to review the Lenovo ThinkBook 14 Gen 2 and so we can't provide our personal impressions on the laptop. However, users can still check out our review on the ThinkBook 14 Gen 1 which uses an older chassis design from the Gen 2 model.
