RedMagic 12 Pro+ appears with under-display camera and liquid cooling, days before launch

Nubia has published several teaser images on the Chinese social network Weibo that show the design of the brand-new RedMagic 12 Pro+ in detail for the first time, ahead of the gaming smartphone's official launch on Thursday, October 15.
Although the design closely resembles the look of the RedMagic 11 Pro+, it is still unusual compared to mainstream smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra ($1,179 on Amazon). This is because Nubia uses a selfie camera hidden beneath the AMOLED panel, allowing the display to do away with a notch or punch-hole entirely. The flat frame houses two touch-sensitive shoulder buttons.
The back showcases the elaborate cooling system, which includes both an active fan and a closed-loop liquid cooling system equipped with RGB lighting. A print on the back already confirms that the smartphone is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, making the RedMagic 12 Pro+ one of the first smartphones based on Qualcomm's latest flagship processor.
Nubia installs just two rear cameras – these are usually not a priority on a gaming smartphone, but at least they sit flush with the back. The smartphone is available in Transparent Ice Blue, Transparent Silver Wing and Transparent Dark Night. Nubia promises that the RedMagic 12 Pro+ will be thinner and lighter than its direct predecessor. All remaining specifications should be confirmed by the launch on October 15 at the latest.
