If you’re looking for a budget phone with exceptional battery life, access to Google Gemini and a modicum of toughness, the realme 14x 5G is right up your alley. If you can live with the middling camera setup and bloatware, this is worth a look.

The Realme 14x returns the charm to the budget segment by including exciting things like 5G, a decent camera, large battery capacity, good software support, and more. Almost every aspect of the Realme 14x delivers a satisfying result, especially considering the price. Even the gaming performance is quite decent. Most other smartphones in the same price range don’t even have 5G connectivity, let alone other things like proper water and dust protection that the Realme 14x has. The only drawback is that it lacks FHD+ resolution, but everything else is fine. If you can accept the Realme 14x’s only con, we believe the pricing is decent and can recommend this smartphone without any issues.

The Realme 14X 5G sets a new benchmark by promising superior durability in the sub-Rs 15K segment with an IP69 certification for dust and water resistance. The phone is also a decent choice for productivity-focused users who value 5G connectivity and long battery backup. The Dimensity 6300 SoC onboard offers respectable grunt for daily tasks and mild gaming. However, heavy gamers can consider other options, such as the POCO M7 Pro or Vivo T3X, for a better experience. While Realme isn’t the only brand in the segment still utilising LCD panels for its budget offerings, I believe AMOLED displays should become the standard in 2025 in this price bracket. That said, if you don’t watch too many shows and movies on your smartphone, the Realme 14X 5G’s display will suffice for everyday use.

6.67":
It is a small display format for smartphones. You shouldn't be severely defective in vision, and you won't see much detail on the screen and only have a small resolution available. For that, the device should be small and handy, easy to transport.
» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.72.5%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
