Realme has now confirmed that its upcoming 10 4G smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 processor on its launch. The OEM asserts that this "best-in-class" chipset has propelled its new entry-level device to just over 400,000 on the AnTuTu benchmark. Meanwhile, a less official leak purports to outline how much it will cost to own this "highest-scoring" performance in Europe.

Realme had hinted at performance as 1 of 3 key areas in which the upcoming 10 series would exhibit upgrades on these next-gen mid-range Android smartphones' imminent launch. Now, the BBK Electronics brand has elaborated on this by validating predictions of a switch to the Helio G99 processor in the 9 4G's successor.

Realme also claims to have been on AnTuTu with the device ahead of its launch, and to have established that the 10 4G was capable of setting the highest score for its SoC on this benchmark as of October 28, 2022. The entry-level smartphone reportedly completed these tests with a total of 400,098.

The brand has yet to tease the 10 4G in any other respect. However, the blog Appuals has stepped in with more alleged details on the upcoming device. It has already claimed that the smartphone's re-done rear panel will be finished in either gray or pink gradient shades; now, it asserts that these 2 color options have picked up the new and just slightly odd marketing names of Rush Black and Clash White respectively.

Both putative SKUs have featured in new 10 4G renders that incorporate Realme's strong hints at flat edges for the first time. Should these images prove accurate, the smartphone will launch with an equally flat display with a corner-mounted punch-hole, a power button that might double as a fingerprint reader and a headphone jack next to its bottom-facing USB type-C port.

The 10 4G is also linked to a trendy shift back down to dual rear cameras; however, according to Appuals, it is something of a missed opportunity, as its 50MP main shooter might be paired to a potential liability of a 2MP back-up lens.

The upcoming non-5G 10-series variant is also thought to launch without an upgrade to Android 13 out of the box and with a 5,000mAh battery. This package, should Appuals prove accurate, start in the €250-300 (~US$249-299) range once the 10 series starts to hit Europe, an event that might fall in early 2023, if not even sooner.
