Motorola has decided to release the Moto G72 in Europe, less than two weeks after the smartphone's debut. Announced first in India, the Moto G72 is Motorola's latest member of the Moto G series, having introduced the Moto G22 through Moto G82 already this year. As its name suggests, the Moto G72 is one of the better-equipped Moto G series models, with a 108 MP camera as one of its major selling points.
Additionally, the Moto G72 has a P-OLED display that measures 6.55-inches across, operates at 2,460 x 1080 pixels, has a 120 Hz refresh rate and offers an 85.3% screen-to-body ratio. Powered by a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 33 W fast charging, the Moto G72 also utilises the MediaTek Helio G99, a 6 nm chipset with two ARM Cortex-A76 CPU cores, six Cortex-A55 CPU cores and a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. For reference, the Helio G99 can found in other devices like the Xiaomi Redmi Pad.
Moreover, the Moto G72 has 16 MP front-facing, 8 MP ultra-wide-angle and 2 MP macro cameras, as well as microSD card expansion and Android 12 out of the box. Currently, the Moto G72 comes in Meteorite Grey and Polar Blue colourways, but only with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. While the handset retails for €259 in most of the Eurozone, Motorola has priced it at €279 in some markets like Germany.
