Reviews for the Razer Blade 17 Early 2022
A Core i9-12900H and GeForce RTX 3080 Ti provide sufficient performance for 4k gaming, video processing, and rendering. The matte 4k display (IPS, 144 Hz) scores with a good color reproduction and high brightness. Our test shows what else the new Blade 17 in the high-end configuration can do.

As a premium desktop replacement that can occasionally be taken on the go, the Razer Blade 17 is one of the best-looking 17-inch gaming laptops with excellent customization and integration with peripherals. The screen and build quality are all excellent, though its keyboard feels cramped, and its battery life is mediocre. Several competing models offer similar or better hardware for less, yet for those wanting that exclusive Razer experience, the Blade 17 might be worth the extra cash.

Passing over issues of size, weight and cost – which are things you can either live with or you can’t – the new Blade 17 is a pricey masterpiece. The immaculate build quality, powerful underpinnings and outstanding sound system make this a laptop that can perform any task with alacrity. Unless the super-sharp 4K display is a must, I’d suggest going for the QHD 240Hz model, which is £400 cheaper than the otherwise identical 4K model – and gamers get access to G-Sync with the other variants as well. Either way, the end result is a massively impressive bit of kit, even if you need to fork out a hefty sum for the privilege.

17.30": This display size is a standard format for desktop replacements (DTR). The DTR laptops are heavier to carry, need more power, but texts are easy to read and high resolutions are no problem. 2.774 kg:
With this weight, a laptop is rather heavier than average. Devices in this range shine more with screen size and performance than with mobility.
